Hutton Amateur Football Club Fundraising

Hutton AFC have formed a new partnership with Weston Hospice Care

We are pleased to announce that we have formed a fundraising partnership with Weston Hospice Care.
We hope to raise a lot of money for both the club and our new fundraising partner.
Please visit their website to see some of the great things they do

Moving forward, the Club is looking at alternative ways of raising funds to move away from the 'traditional' Bag Pack.

Upcoming fund-raisers will include:

  • Golf days - an initial event was run at the Isle of Wedmore Golf Club as a 'taster' and this proved hugely successful.
  • Entertainment Nights. These have been staged previously and have proved successful.
  • Scratch cards after Senior team matches.
  • 100 Club with 50% of the income being returned in prize money
  • Race nights
  • Sponsored Walks
  • Bonfire night at St Marys Field, Hutton
  • Yearly Junior Tournament at Springwood
  • Presentation "Fun Day" - An all day event on June 26th 2010 which will take in the end of season presentations of all age groups and include musical entertainment, bouncy castles, quad biking and food.

The annual junior tournament this year was a rip-roaring success, with teams from all over the county descending on Springwood. Great football all round, terrific fun and a great success. In total, the club raised around £2000 to boot!

Three excellent fund raising events so far this season. Bonfire night was fantastic and The "Girls Night Out" went incredibly well, earning a lot of money for both the club and Weston Hospice Care. Thanks to everyone that helped in either events and to all those who attended. Especially big thanks to Jennie Robin for performing at the Girls Night Out and for all those that helped set up, organise and held stalls. Great Stuff!

On Saturday 13th March, Hutton hosted a race night at The Old Inn, Hutton. The night was great fun, with the seniors and parents of the Juniors teams spending lots of money and getting pretty merry. This was the club's first race night, hosted by themselves and we learned a lot! All in all though, a fantastic night and the club raised a profit of just over £430. Thanks to everyone that organised, helped out and came to the event!!

We will be continuing our fundraising partnership with Weston Hospice Care throughout the season and hope that we can raise lots of money for both.
