Hutton Football Club...

...is an FA Charter Standard Community Club, which is the highest level of club accreditation available to grass roots organisations.

There are approximately 700 football clubs registered with the Somerset FA. Out of that total, only seven at the time of writing have achieved the highest accreditation and are now FA Charter Standard Community Clubs. The second highest accreditation, otherwise known as the FA Charter Standard Development Club status, has only been achieved by a further 21 clubs.

The football club playing fields are located in the rural village of Hutton approximately 3 miles to the south of Weston super Mare.

The Club was originally formed in 1977 when the very basics of a team were put together by local villagers and entered into the Weston super Mare & District Football league.

Since that time, additional teams have been added and the Hutton 1st XI won the Division 1 title for the first time in the 2007/08 campaign. There are plans to improve facilities further over the next few years and apply for participation in the Somerset Senior League.

The junior section of the Club now has teams in age groups from Under 7’s to Under 15’s, with an Under 6 Academy School and an expanding female section to encourage girls and women to form sides under the Hutton banner.

All our junior sides are represented in the Woodspring Junior League, with our Girls competing in the Bristol League.

In the early 2000’s, it was decided that as the junior section became stronger, then the two clubs should pool their resources and combine their efforts to further serve the community.

We are therefore now able to offer a service to over 270 children, young people and Adults within the Weston super Mare area - a complete path from the Under 7 age group through to senior men’s football. This is a package that we feel is unrivalled in the Weston super Mare area.

Our aim is to encourage all budding footballers, regardless of ability or gender to realise their potential whilst providing a safe and secure environment for all ages to learn and develop.
