Hutton AFC under 14s boys teamThe Under 16s currently play in Division Two of the Woodspring League and are sponsored by RMC Security.

The ethos of the team remains that of passing football but most importantly it is based around encouragement, togetherness, and team spirit.

Support remains strong from the parents off the field and that encouragement is very much appreciated by all the lads on the field.

The team finished mid table in Division 2 of the Woodspring League last term after being besieged by injuries in the early stages of the season.

With a change of personnel in the team, hopes are high for the coming season and this has been borne out by excellent performances in the Summer tournaments at both Twyford and Bridgwater.

The coaching & fitness of the team is undertaken by the Club's FAW Level 2 coach Dan Liddiard when he is not studying for his degree in Football Coaching at the University of Glamorgan.

Previous honours include 2007 Woodspring League Yeo Division winners, 2007 Hutton Tournament winners, 2008 Hutton Tournament runners up and 2005 Weston Crusaders Tournament runners up and 2011 Bridgwater Wolves Tournament runners up.

Team Notices

After two disappointing defeats to Yatton the lads needed to get back to winning ways and a trip to bottom side Clevedon Utd was perhaps the ideal fixture.

The lads started well and pushed Clevedon back bringing their keeper into action with a string of good saves whilst the Hutton defensive unit looked solid preventing any pressure on debutant under 15 keeper.

Hutton took the lead following a swiftly taken through and an interchange of one touch passes allowing Chas Scott to find the back of the net. As the game flowed towards the Clevedon goal Scott added to more goals to complete a first half hat trick.

Substitutions were made and Hutton maintained control of the game although Clevedon’s resilience prevented any further goals until the final 15 minutes of the game when Scott added a further three goals to his tally followed by a rare strike by Chris Streeter leaving the final score of 7-0 to Hutton.

A good all round performance with Man of the Match being awarded to Scott. Plank of the Week was awarded to Jack Hugh for his ‘Nani style’ fall in the Clevedon penalty area.

Training continues at Hans Price on Fridays at 7.30 pm
